This lowly blogger on an atypical outing got a whiff of this and followed up to get you the following pics. Now I can’t verify anything more than to say that the upper management was looking at having a contest for some loyal customers to design a car, and the winner would receive a Free Starter Kit of their choice along with a few other goodies.
Here are the top secret shots that I managed to finaggle (is that a word?) from my source. I do know that it looks waaaay cooler than Greensmokes NASCAR that is running in this weekends race.
That is this humble reporter’s opinion of course. I may be a tad biased, but I still think it kicks butt over the Greensmoke Car with TJ Bell. Once I get more info on the contest I will be sure to pass it along as I always do. For now you give ‘em your opinion about the pics (top secret… by the way) by sending an email to nascar@smokestik.com

Save money at the gas pump with South Beach Smoke gas rebates
An electronic cigarette company is extending its policy of offering $100 gas certificates for every new purchase of their electronic cigarette starter kits. There were questions as to whether or not they would continue this policy as gas prices continue to soar around the country, but it was announced today on their blog that, “South Beach Smoke will continue this offer throughout the summer to ease the burden of high gas prices with our customers. We already help our customers save on their smoking habit by switching to e-cigarettes from traditional cigarettes, so it’s great to know that we can save them even more”. The company had the same offer in place months ago but decided to extend it through the summer which typically sees higher gas prices.
Gas certificates come with the customer’s initial electronic cigarette starter kit shipment which contains a South Beach Smoke e-cigarette battery, cartridges and a wall charger. Other accessories available include USB charger, car adapter, universal carrying case and extra-long battery. Electronic cigarettes use atomizers to flash vaporize a liquid nicotine solution creating liquid vapor instead of smoke. They have reusable batteries and replaceable cartridges.
South Beach Smoke has recently been noted for its selection as one of the main products to be given to celebrities in the MTV Movie Awards Gifting Room. Award nominees, A-List celebrities and other high profile figures are expected to be given electronic cigarette starter kits from South Beach Smoke when the MTV Movie Awards air June 5th.

Public figures, celebrities and op-ed pieces in newspapers are coming out in support and opposition of new regulations forced on smokers in New York City. The Big Apple is notorious for cracking down on smoking. They were one of the first places to ban smoking in restaurants and other public places in the early 2000’s, which led to changes across the country. Just last month they passed a bill that would prevent smokers from smoking cigarettes on public beaches, public parks, and pedestrian plazas, which will make New York City the least friendly place for smokers in the country.
One of the more controversial parts of this bill was the banning of smoking in “pedestrian plazas” which would make world-famous Times Square a ‘no smoking location’. Some New Yorkers welcome such strict smoking laws. While others like well-known New Yorker and famous actor Whoopi Goldberg said, “There should be a designated place, and I’m tired of being treated like some damn criminal….If they’re really worried about the smell in the air, give us electric buses, give us electric cars, and then I’ll understand”.
Others who don’t support the ban believe that it’s an infringement on civil liberties and impossible to regulate, especially in tourist centers like Times Square. A representative from Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s office stated “We expect that this will be primarily self-enforcing” and that they will rely on “social pressure” and “self-regulation”. But, the enforcement end of this bill will be a $50 fine labeled as a “quality-of-life summonses”. Many smokers are opposed to receiving such a summons because it’s typically reserved for those who are panhandling or caught urinating in public.
Despite the rampant smoking regulations in New York City, it’s still legal to smoke an e-cigarette in public parks, beaches and pedestrian plazas like Times Square. However, New York legislators are not keen on ecigarettes, either, and have unsuccessfully tried banning them in New York as well. It looks like The Big Apple will simply continue to be an unfriendly place for smokers.

Actress
Katherine Heigl was spotted puffing on a stainless steel electronic cigarette while shopping with her family in the trendy Soho neighborhood of New York on February 6th.
Heigl strolled along with her mom and musician husband Josh Kelley. Heigl and Kelley’s adopted 2-year-old daughter, Naleigh, also joined in the outing.
Best known for playing Dr. Izzie Stevens on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, Heigl also played starring roles in the movies Knocked Up, 27 Dresses and The Ugly Truth. She is one of a slew of celebrities faithfully using electronic cigarettes in place of the real thing.
Heigl, now 31, began using electronic cigarettes in 2010 to help her kick her habit and set a good example for her young daughter. She was excited to find electronic cigarettes satisfy her cravings for the real deal after failing with nicotine gum, nicotine patches and prescription drug, Chantix . During an appearance on, “Late Show with David Letterman”, the actress happily demonstrated her e-cig.
“You blow out water vapor so you’re not harming anyone around you and you’re not harming yourself,” she said. “I’m essentially humidifying the space.”
When Letterman asked what advice she would give to her daughter about smoking, she replied:
“The one thing I would say to my kid is, ‘It’s not just that it’s bad for you. Do you want to spend the rest of your life fighting a stupid addiction to a stupid thing that doesn’t even really give you a good buzz?’”
