PROS:

The cartridges lasted longer than other brands I have tried, and are also substantially more consistent.

For my first review of an ecigarette in 2012 I wanted to try something a little different, so I chose V2′s USB-powered Power-Cig. Since it just plugs into your computer, I didn’t have to charge the device for the customary 24-hour period first, which was another first for me. As usual, though, how long an electric cigarette cartridge lasts depends on the smoking habits of the user, regardless of the brand involved. CONS:

I have to say I was not impressed with a number of the flavors. The flavors that were supposed to be derivatives of Marlboro, Camel, Salem, etc., were far off the mark, some downright unbearable, in my opinion. I instantly took a liking to the coffee and sweet mint flavors, however, which is strange considering I typically hate coffee and mint. Chocolate and vanilla were good, as well, but for some reason each time I used one I would start noticing drag problems.

If I switched immediately to either a coffee or mint cartridge, everything would go back to normal immediately. Smoke a chocolate and a vanilla each in a row, however, and it would start burning up the cartridges in half the time. Switch back to a coffee or mint, and within a few puffs it was back to normal. Go figure! I thought it could be possible that the 2 flavors were just old or bad batches, but the same thing has happened to me with every batch of them I’ve ordered since.

V2 Ecigs does, however, offer a cartridge adaptor, which allows you to use a V2 battery with virtually any other brand of electronic cigarette cartridge, which could prove to be helpful if you decide to shop elsewhere for your favorite flavors.

The other thing that was a nuisance was the fact that, due to the cord needing to be constantly connected to a USB source, I was very limited on where and when I could vape with it. If you don’t mind putting down a few extra dollars, V2 has accessories to overcome this, as well, though.

But no worries for me, really. Luckily, I still have my SmokeTip ecigs to get me through the rough times.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

Both of these things aside, though, I still think the V2 is an excellent electronic cigarette and, if you can find a flavor(s) you can stick with, I would highly recommend it to anyone. Until or unless I say differently here, this is now my daily go-to ecigarette at the office. I am highly impressed:)

As soon as we received the package from SmokeTip we all gathered around to check it out.  Right out of the box you could see that, just like their website, the packaging and the ecigarette itself were also plain and simple.  It looked just like a typical tobacco cigarette.  While it was heavier than a regular analog cigarette, it was quite well-balanced when I held it between my fingers during the ‘practice’ puff.

We, and you, want to know how it actually holds up to regular, everyday use, and how it compares to other brands, as well.

THE REVIEW:

After charging the battery fully, I gave it the obligatory 3 ‘quick puffs’ to get the atomizer properly heated, and on the first actual drag I got a very nice hit with a good amount of ‘smoke’.  By my third hit, the clouds of vapor were very near to that of a full-flavor tobacco cigarette.  The 2-piece atomizer cartridge allows for better air circulation that provides for a nice, easy drag, so each puff takes very little effort.

I’ve never much cared for menthol or ‘exotic’ flavors with my tobacco, so I reviewed this using the Cowboy (Marlboro) flavor at 16mg of nicotine. The flavor was not harsh in the least, unlike some of the cheaper-made brands, and was virtually identical to the taste of a ‘real’ cigarette. Again, I was extremely impressed. Even the throat hit was very close to an analog cigarette.

I used to smoke a pack a day of ‘regular’ cigarettes, but now my actual ‘vaping time’ is probably about half of that. In the first 24-hour period I used 2 of the SmokeTip cartomizers, and the battery lasted about a day and a half. Considering both the batteries are a short version, I found that to be quite remarkable in and of itself. THE REVIEW:

We just got our Green Smoke Express Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit and, so far at least, we are quite pleased. Green Smoke electronic cigarettes were the first to utilize only the two-part technology. The disposable cartridge contains both the atomizer and the nicotine/flavoring. The only other piece is the battery.

The basic Green Smoke e-cigarette is very convenient to use, and I had it together in no time. It’s quite a bit heavier than an analog cigarette, especially if you like to let your ecig dangle from your mouth, but it’s not the heaviest I’ve seen, by far.

PROS:

I liked the smooth taste of the menthol-flavored cartridges that came with the starter kit. The menthol taste was pretty good, very minty, but I still didn’t like it as well as a few other brands’ I have tried, although it didn’t leave an after-taste or anything like that, either. It’s just that the flavor seemed a bit ‘light’ compared to the amount of vapor.

The vapor production is absolutely incredible! Stunning, even! The Green Smoke electronic cigarette is definitely the best I’ve ever seen in terms of vapor production. For the first time ever with an electronic cigarette, I was able to blow smoke rings! This is as close to a ‘real’ cigarette as it gets. Even the way the ‘smoke’ feels in your mouth is different than most others.

CONS:

Green Smoke is somewhat limited in it’s scope of flavors. In all fairness, though, the flavors that Green Smoke does offer are very, very good. Currently they offer 7 varieties including tobacco gold, absolute tobacco, menthol ice, mocha mist, red label tobacco, smooth chocolate and vanilla dreams. All their names, not mine, and they actually DO taste like the real flavors.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

I can see why some people are willing to pay a little extra for Green Smoke e cigarettes. I love the convenience of the two-piece system, too. It’s very clean and easy. Green Smoke’s starter kit comes with a few extras that a lot of the others don’t offer, as well. But it is a bit pricey.

However, Green Smoke is definitely the Cadillac of e-cigarettes. This is definitely the best electronic cigarette that I have tried yet. In terms of vapor production and flavor, it is the most realistic I have I ever seen when compared with an analog. The price may prove to be a bit too steep for those on a tighter budget, however. The refill cartridges alone are $16.99 for 5! Green Smoke claims that their cartridges last 1.5 times longer than typical brands, but we didn’t notice them lasting any longer than usual.
